Are you the author of Earnest goes to College? My name is Eric Fuller and your article continues to inspire my friends and I at our small college in Westminster, Maryland. If this is the right Richard Morgan, i wanted to say i am a huge fan of your work. Your article touched on what I have been feeling about college ever since I entered the door. I found your name when i was looking for a copy of the article online and saw the title listed on a Columbia School of Journalism website. When we read your article in the Playboy magazine that our fraternity subscribes to, it was an instant hit and we made copies and spread them all around. We even made copies of your article and gave them to members of our administration. We refer to your article as 'the bible' and use it whenever we are down after getting caught or in trouble by the man. After reading your article we used this inspiration for charity and hosted a "kegs for katrina" event where we raised over $500.00 for the hurricane, and we didn't care how many people came or if we got written up (we did). Your article has inspired us not to fear failure, to be resilient, and to not let the people who would like us to become straight laced, buttoned up, carbon copy kids get in the way of enjoying our rite of passage in college as young kids.
